Visions Federal Credit Union is alerting members about a scam where a text message says an account has been locked and instructs the recipient to click the link in the message. The latest Siena College Research Institute poll shows Gov. Kathy Hochul continues to lead the Democratic candidates for the 2022 gubernatorial race. Attorney General Leticia James is in second place while nearly 25% of respondents are undecided. The poll found top priorities for 2022 are the economy, crime and COVID-19. Delaware County Public Health reports a 77th person died from COVID-19 related complications. It’s not known if that individual was vaccinated. The county has 340 active COVID-19 cases with clowe to 80% of those in people who are not vaccinated. 23 people are hospitalized.
Oneonta Department of Public Works personnel are conducting a hydrant flow test for FoxCare Center today starting around 9:00 p.m. at the east end of Main Street in the Town of Oneonta. An accident Saturday in Norwich injured 2 Chenango County Sheriff’s Deputies. According to the Evening Sun the deputies were heading to a call with lights and sirens active when the crash occurred at the East Main Street and North Broad Street intersection. The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office raises $1,000 in its “No Shave November” campaign. Employees made a donation in order to forego shaving last month. The money will be evenly split between the Delaware County Veterans Service Agency and Delaware Opportunities-Safe Against Violence program. Lumber from the 2020 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is donated to Habitat for Humanity of Otsego County. Last year’s tree was felled from West Oneonta.
