Delaware County Records 78th COVID-19 Related Death

Delaware County Public Health reports a 78th person died from COVID-19 related complications. It’s not known if that individual was vaccinated. The county has 411 active COVID-19 cases with close to 85% of those in people who are not vaccinated. 22 people are hospitalized.

Norwich Wins DRI Award

The City of Norwich wins the fifth-round Southern Tier Downtown Revitalization Initiative award. The $10 million prize will help turn the area into a vibrant neighborhood. Fox Hospital Discontinues Elective Surgeries

A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta discontinues elective surgeries as part of Gov. Kathy Hochul’s executive order to limit non-essential procedures in facilities that are nearly at capacity.
