Man From Ky. Charged In Richmondville Burglary Along With Auto Theft

A man from Kentucky will be in New York for a lttle while longer after he’s apprehended while burglarizing a Richmondville home. Police say the man told residents he ran out of gas then fled. Fire-Damaged Oxford Apartment Building Ordered Demolished

Chenango County officials order the demolition of an Oxford apartment building heavily damaged by fire last week. According to the Evening Sun the Merchant St. building was too unstable to let it stand. It took multiple fire companies several hours to get the blaze under control. NYSP Investigating Bainbridge Assault

State Police are investigating a domestic dispute in Bainbridge that happened over the weekend. Police say the victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to Wilson Hospital for treatment. Investigators say the suspect was apprehended on Sunday and is charged with attempted murder and assault. Family Dollar May Be Coming To Norwwich

The former Rite Aid building in Norwich may become a new Family Dollar sitre. NY Working To Expand Solar Power

New York is gearing up to expand solar power capacity to power nearly 700,000 homes by 2030. According to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office the state’s NY-SUN initiative will generate $4.4 billion in private investment and creating 6,000 additional solar jobs statewide. It will target those investments to lstate-defined disadvantaged communities. SUNY Cobleskill Receives Grant For Beetle Species Restoration

SUNY Cobleskill’s Environmental Management Program received a federal grant to prevent the American burying beetle from going extinct. It was added to the endangered species list in 1989. College officials say they hope to reintroduce the beetles by 2023 and they will monitor their regeneration. 2 Delaware County Bridges Are Back Open

2 Delaware County bridge projects are now completed. According to the county the Corbett Road Bridge over the East Branch of the Delaware River and the Covered Bridge in Downsville reopened to traffic on Thursday. State Awards Funding For Otsego County Bridge Replacements

Otsego County and the Town of Maryland receive state funding to replace deteriorating bridge. The county gets $4.7 million to replace the County Road 59 bridge over Little Schoharie Creek while Maryland is awarded $3.9 million to replace the Loft Road Bridge over Schenevus Creek.
