SUNY Oneonta COVID-19 Testing Site Opens Friday

SUNY Oneonta’s state-run COVID-19 testing site opens Friday at the Emergency Services Building, Training Room 26. Hours are 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. A site at SUNY Cobleskill is to open next week but details on location and operating hours haven’t yet been released. Falco Succeeds Drnek As Ward 8 Councilor

Emily Falco succeeds Mark Drnek as Ward 8 Councilor. The Common Council approved the appointment at its Tuesday meeting which was the first presided by Drnek as Mayor. Falco will serve through the end of the year. Councilor Dave Rissberger is chosen to serve as acting mayor for 2022 if needed. Sherburne Church Reopens After 2020 Arson

A Sherburne church destroyed by arson in 2020 held its first services last weekend with a new name. Lighthouse Community Church is now the Epicenter Ministries. The church held online services while looking for a new location and that will continue even though in-person worship has resumed.
