Officials say they took this action to protect the safety and health of its patients and staff because of the COVID-19 case increase. The Susquehanna SPCA received multiple donations from the “Betty White Challenge” which called for fans of the actress to donate $5 in her name. White died just days short of her 100th birthday which was on Monday. Officials say the donations ranged from the suggested $5 up to $200. State Police were kept busy over the last 48 hours responding to storm-related collisions and disabled vehicles. They included crashes on State Route 28 in Milford and Middletown along with a vehicle off the roadway at County Road 1 and Old Hill Road Unadilla. No major incidents occurred.
