New Berlin-based Chobani adds another million dollars to its Scholars program which supports historically underserved students who wish to pursue a broad set of agricultural interests. NY Extends Expanded Absentee Voter Program

New York continues its expanded absentee ballot availability through 2022. It was started in July of 2020 because of COVID-19 and ended last December. Voters can request a ballot where there is a risk of contracting or spreading disease that may cause illness to themselves or others. Hartwick Unveils New Nursing Scholarship

A pair of fires kept Chenango County crews busy last Friday morning. The first was at the former Carpet Master store on Route 12 in North Norwich and the other was a chimney fire at a Sherburne residence. No injuries were reported in either fire. Springbook Announces Pay Raises & Incentive Pay

Springbook in Oneonta announces pay raises and COVID-19 relates incentives. All Otsego reports the pay hikes apply to all workers while the incentive pay is for current and new employees. Milne Library Migrating Interlibrary Loan Software

This coming Tuesday SUNY Oneonta’s Milne Library’s interlibrary loan system is migrating its software system to a different provider. As a result, interlibrary loan services will be unavailable during the migration process. Library personnel say resource sharing services such as borrowing from other SUNY libraries should not be impacted. 2 Economic Development Organizations Get Federal Grants

A pair of economic development organizations are awarded grants from the federal. Economic Development Administration. The Southern Tier East Regional Planning Development Board and the Mohawk Valley Economic Development District each received $70,000 to develop and implement a comprehensive economic development strategy. Delaware County Unveils Train To Work Initiative

Delaware County Department of Economic Development in partnership with CDO Workforce announces the Train to Work Initiative, which reimburses county businesses for hiring and training employees.
