Oneonta Police arrest a suspect in last December’s NBT Bank Wall St. branch robbery. The man was indicted and taken into custody on Monday. Due to the existence of pending felony charges in Delaware County, the suspect’s bail was set at $10,000.00 cash. Source: Press release

A man from Oneonta is killed in a 2-car crash on Route 365 in Oneida County. Police say the man rear ended a car which was moving slowly as it was partially disabled. The man died at the scene while the other driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The New York Council of Nonprofits is accepting applications for the 2022 Otsego County Mini-Grant Program. The focus is to improve the governance and management of qualifying nonprofits. $45,000 in funds is available with grant awards averaging $1,000. Application deadline is March 15. SUNY Oneonta formed its own chapter of Alpha Alpha Alpha, the national first-gen honor society and is recruiting first-gen faculty/staff and faculty/staff supporters of first-gen students. The New York State Police announced the Trooper Entrance Exam is now available to take through a new computerized testing process for the first time as part of an effort to make the exam more accessible.
