Norwich Man Arrested For Assaulting Resident As They Slept

A Norwich man is facing charges for breaking into an Earlville home and attacking a resident as they slept. Police say it happened last November and the 2 people knew each other. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. The man was jailed on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond. Former DelCo DSS Commissioner Loses Termination Appeal

Delaware County’s former Department of Social Services commissioner loses an appeal of her termination. A state appeals court ruled county officials were justified in firing Dana Scuderi-Hunter in 2019 after charging her with misconduct, insubordination, and child endangerment. State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli’s office cited the Delaware-Chenango-Madison-Otsego Board of Cooperative Educational Services for failing to follow purchasing policies & procedures. Fatal Fire Investigation Continues In Glibertsville

State Police are investigating a fire at a Glbertsville home on Monday where a woman died. According to authorities the 64-year-old woman was found inside the Maple Street home. The man arrested in the NBT Bank robbery in Oneonta now faces new charges.
