A Charlottevile retailer is cited for selling tobacco products to a purchaser under the age of 21. According to the Schoharie County Department of Health the store also sold vaping products with nicotine which is also a violation of the New York State Public Health Law. Police say they responded to a burglar alarm call at a business on Sunday and saw a driver leaving without the vehicle’s lights on. The driver was pulled over and taken into custody. The Village of Sidney receives $1.13 million in federal and state grants for water infrastructure improvements. The grants gover 50% of the project’s cost with the remaining being paid for through interest-free financing. On Monday the supreme court judge who declared the maps unconstitutional appointed an expert from Carnegie Mellon University to redraw the maps.
