A fire destroyed a Town of Oneonta home early Sunday. Firefighters found the flames had spread from the West Street dwelling to a nearby parked vehicle and called in reinforcements. A man from the Town of German takes a plea deal to federal drug and weapons charges. Prosecutors say Jonas Whaley will be sentenced in August and will be in jail for at least 10 years.
