Man Arrested For Felony Assault

A man is facing felony charges from an iunvestigation into an incident last month at Job Corps in Oneonta. Police say the man attempted to assault another man with a barbell weight while in the gym. The suspect was taken into custody and held at the Otsego County Jail pending arraignment.

NY Enacts Utility Debt Relief Program

The State Public Service Commission approved a debt relief program to help residents and small businesses pay off past-due electric and gas utility bills thast resulted from the pandemic. The program will provide $672 million to prevent them from losing service. Officials say it’s the largest financial assistance program in the state’s history.

Schoharie County Child Sex Suspect Apprehended In Kansas

The suspect in a Schoharie County child sex investigation is apprehended in Kansas. Police in Shawnee say they were contacted by the Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office that the suspect may be in their jurisdiction. The 28-year-old suspect was taken into custody without incident.
