A small aircraft crashed Sunday night in the Town of Bainbridge. State Police say the plane had a mechanical issue and hit a tree as well as becoming tangled in power lines,. A woman is killed from a skydive in the town of Westford. State Police say 59-year-old Karen Bernard of Wildwood, Florida appeared to have a parachute malfunction in the Saturday morning incident that occurred in the area of County Road 34. A piece of construction equipment stolen earlier this month in the town of McDonough was located. According to the Chenango County Sheriff’s office the reported stolen Komatsu Excavator was recovered on Friday following an investigation. Charges are brought against a New Lisbon man following a domestic dispute that occurred on July 14. Police say the 33-year-old man violated an active order of protection and was later located in Chenango County. A tour bus caught on fire Saturday on State Route 28 in the town of Otsego. Firefighters from Cooperstown and Hartwick Seminary responded along with Cooperstown and State Police.
