A Sherburne man is in trouble for trying to bring a loaded gun in his carry-on baggage at Hancock International Airport in Syracuse. Authorities say the man told them he forgot to take the weapon out after using the bag while on a hike. The weapon was confiscated. The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Norwich City Police Department and the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency, collected 27 large cartons of prescription medications last Saturday during National Drug Take-Back Day.
