The Chenango County 4H Livestock Auction is tonight at 6pm in the Follett show ring at the Chenango County Fairgrounds. The fairgrounds are located at 168 East Main Street in Norwich. Cornell Cooperative Extension spokesperson Victoria Ryan says the auction supports a scholarship program for 4H members from age 8 to 18. All of the animals are raisedon 4H youth farms in Chenango County by the kids selling them. Ryan says around 20 animals will be up for auction, inclkuding chicken, turkey, meat goats, lambs, rabbits and beef steer.
