In another murder case, a Norwich man has admitted his involvement in the killing of a Chenango County woman. Chaquasja M. Veale pleaded guilty on Monday to a charge of manslaughter in the 1st degree. In July of 2023, authorities performed a welfare check at a home on North Broad Street in Norwich, and found the body of 44 year old Alisa Ann Martin. Prosecutors will recommend a prison term of 22 years when Veale is sentenced.
