Delhi Trustee Tweed To Appear On Ballot For State Assembly Seat

A Delhi woman has qualified to appear on the ballot for the District 102 New York State Assembly seat. Janet Tweed is a village trustee and physical therapist. Districvt 102 includes all of Scoharie and Greene Counties, along with portions of Delaware, Albany and Otsego Counties. In a campaign statement, Tweed said she has collected around 700 petition signatures. 500 were required to qualify to appear on the ballot. One other candidate will appear on the Democrat line. mary Finneran is an environmental activist from Schoharie County. The primary contest will be June 25th and the winner will advance to take on Republican Chris Tague in November.
