After securing the funding in 2022, the city of Oneonta is moving forward with plans to replace the roof of the historic Oneonta Theater downtown. The city will use about a half million dollars from the New York Main Street program for the next phase of getting the theater open. It’s been closed since 2017 and the building dates to 1897. A request for proposals has been issued for administrative services and design work.
