Nurses in Oneonta are speaking up about what they call an unprecedented staffing shortage. In fact, right now at Bassett Health Care’s A.O. Fox Hospital, the job vacancy rate among nursing positions is nearly 50 percent. The labor union the represents the nurses says the job vacancy rate has created poor working conditions and nurses that are entirely overburdened with too many patients.
