The Oneonta Common Council has appointed a new deer management plan coordinator. On Tuesday, the council selected Susan Lettis for the position. Mayor Mark Drnek nominated Lettis, who is also the Otsego County chief public defender. However, she has been researching the deer issue as part of the city’s deer management task force. Lettis will be responisble for providing city officials with reports on the deer nuisance. Two members of the council voted against Lettis’s nomination.
