WOMAN ARRESTED FOR SHOOTING GUN

According to the Evening Sun, a woman faced multiple charges after allegedly showing up at a residence located along State Highway 220 in the Town of Smithville and firing numerous shots with a long rifle on August 8.

An individual mowing their lawn at the residence heard the shots and recognized the woman holding the gun, prompting them to flee the scene, reported the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office charged April Chandler, 49, of Endicott, with fourth-degree criminal possession, two counts of reckless endangerment and second-degree menacing.
