The Department of Motor Vehicles is planning to expand commercial driver road testing availabilities by allowing qualified third parties to offer tests. Officials say this plan will allow more CDL licenses to be issued which will help address the driver shortage. Written comments on the plan can be submitted starting Jan. 18.
