This is Transgender Awareness Week and New York expands protections for the LGBTQ+ community and those who have been victims of sex trafficking. A new law relates to vacating convictions for offenses conducted while a victim of sex trafficking. Another law requires utility companies to allow customers to use their preferred name and pronouns.
