An event in Albany on Tuesday honored the two dozen firefighters who died in the line of duty over the past year. Their names were engraved on the New York State Fallen Firefighters Memorial. There are now 2,620 firefighters memorialized. Gov. Kathy Hochul declared this week as Fire Prevention Week.
