It turns out that New York has 12,000 more COVID-19 deaths than previously reported. Governor Kathy Hochul made the announcement on Wednesday saying the state is using figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Former governor Andrew Cuomo used numbers friom a state department of health data source.
