The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 376 announced that 10 students were chosen in winners of the Poppy Poster Contest held at the Oxford Academy Middle and High Schools. The event was chaired by Terrill Sutton with assistance by Middle School Art Educator Charity Gipp and High School Art Educator Joni Eaton. Sutton says the contest helps students learn about what the Red Flanders Field Poppy stands for and what it represents. The posters were displayed at the Oxford American Legion Post 376 for the competition.
