A fire broke out Friday afternoon at a barn in the town of Sidney. It happened in the 300 block of River Road and the Unadilla Fire Department was first on the scene with companies from Franklin, Masonville, Sidney Center, Gilbertsville, Otego, and Wellsbridge also responding. According to authorities one firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion but no other injuries were reported. The fire’s cause is under investigation.
