An Ilion man was arrested on suspicion of forcibly touching a child under the age of 17. John W. Farrington was arrested earlier this month and charged with second-degree criminal sexual act, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child. Farrington was arraigned and remanded to Herkimer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. Since the victim is a minor, authorities are withholding details of the case to protect their identity.
