Severe weather has claimed three lives in Central New York, prompting a flash flood emergency from the National Weather Service. Forecasters said between 3 and five inches of rain fell in some areas, with reports of roads and bridges washed out and homes taking on water. Three deaths were reported after storms damaged at least two homes near Clark Mills, New York, in Oneida County. There is also damage reported in the towns of Kirkland, Lee, Westmoreland, and Trenton.
