Oneonta Council Approves Purchase Of Two City Buses

City bus service in Oneonta is getting a push forward, despite declining ridership. In a unanimous decision Tuesday, the Oneonta city council approved the purchase of two new city buses. The city will apply for a grant that will supply about 1.2 million dollars, while the city will have to match 10 percent of the funding. Transit Director David Hotaling said the new buses will be smaller that what the city currently has. Several older buses will be phased out.
