New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s NY SWIMS initiative has announced SUNy Delhi is the recipient of a 40-thousand dollart grant. The funding is part of an overall 150-million dollars that’s geared toward making public swimming pools more accessible to New Yorkers and expand swimming safety. SUNY Delhi says it will use the money to offer lifeguard instruction and swimming lessons, as well as provide transportation for kids to and from the pool.
