Oneonta and the town of Roseboom in Otsego County – are both being recognized as “Climate Smart Cities.” The pair were on the governor’s list released Wednesday, which also included 39 other Empire State towns or cities. The governor’s office says the Climate Smart Communities Certification program supports local efforts to meet the economic, social, and environmental challenges posed by climate change.
