Construction could begin next year on a new hotel in Oneonta. The site is located between the existing Holiday Inn Express and the Courtyard by Marriott on Courtyard Drive. Local businessman Bilal Ahmad has filed site plans showing a 4-story, 55-thousand square foot hotel that would operate under the Hilton Hotels brand called Homewood Suites. Ahmad also owns the two other hotels, as well as a Holiday Inn Express in Cooperstown.
