A SUNY Oneonta police officer has been indicted by a grand jury for official misconduct and criminal solicitation. Lieutenant Bruce Brown is accused of intentionally solicited a false writeen statement from a subordinate officer that fasely claimed misconduct on the part of University Police Chief Dirk Budd. Authorities say Brown was attempting to have Budd fired in May of last year. The Daily Star reports Brown remains employed at SUNY Oneonta for the time being, but is currently on unpaid administrative leave.
