There will be a blood drive at Bassett Medical Center on Wednesday, sponsored by the local chapter of the Red Cross. The event runs Wednesday from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Cooperstown facility. Appointments are available, but walk-ins will be welcome. If you’d like an appointment, call 800-RED-CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org. The Red Cross says it has a critical shortage of it’s blood suppoly due to many peoople not donating during the summer months.
