An Otsego County woman is accused of abandoning six animals. Authotiries began investigating 65 year old Sandra Truax, of Edmeston, after a complaint on May 31st. Police said they found Truax’s apartment in a deplorable condition with debris, urine and feces throughout the residence. Five cats and a dog were located in the apartment with no food or water. Two cats were found dead. The sheriff’s office is being assisted by the Susquehanna SPCA.
