The city of Rome is trying to launch it’s 4th of July fireworks for the first time in decades. On Wednesday, the Rome common council apprived two resolutions, accepting donations of 5-thousand dollars each from Revere Copper and Total Computer Solutions. The money is earmarked for Revere’s re-lighting ceremony for the iconic Paul Revere sign. The business is planning for a re-lighting ceremony on July 7th, with fireworks.
