Military veterans from the Vietnam War era were invited to a recognition event in Oneonta on Sunday. The event was organized by several local groups and organizations, after a 10 year federal effort to recognize those who sacrificed so much for our nation during that time period. The event was held at the Oneonta Masonic Temple. After the Vietnam Ware ended, many veterans faced a chilly reception when returning home due to political tension on the morality of the war at the time.
