A shakeup with the Oneonta Common Council. Luke Murphy, who represents Ward 1 as a Democrat, has announced his resignation, effective June 1st. Murphy was elected to the post in 2019 as a write-0in candidate. He was then re-elected this past November after running unopposed. In a resignation letter, Murphy says he has plans to move to Seattle, Washington in June because his partner has accepted a new job with the University of Washington.
