Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown will use 6 million dollars to create a new childcare facility on the campus. The grant comes from the Clark Foundation. Plans call for the facility to be located right next to the hospital in the historic Harrison House at 1 Beaver Street. The center will be designed for infants, toddlers and preschool children of hospital staff. A statement from Bassett says the childcare center will be large enough to accomodate 70 children, while employing a staff of 18.
