An Oneonta man is in big trouble… accused of mail fraud. The US Justice Department says 50 year old Kevin Jarrington defrauded Bassett Health Care Network while he worked as the executive director of First Community Care of Bassett in Cooperstown. The organization is reportedly an affiliate of Bassett Healthcare Network and provides health equipment for those who need it. The feds claim that Harring submitted false or fraudulent expense reports seeking reimbursement for CPAP machines. As part of the scheme, he allegedly provided invoices to his employers that claimed he paid thousands of dollars for the medical equipment. The Justice Department says no such equipment was ever purchased.
