A man has been charged with the attempted murder of a Norwich police officer. Authorities say, on Monday, 27 year old Skyler Rubottom called police, claiming there was a burglary in progress. But Rubottom is accuswed of making the whole story up. When police got to 40 Hayes Street, Rubottom is accused of ambushing them… throwing a 13-inch butcher knife at them. Police say Rubottom lives at the address. The officer’s bulletproof vest is credited with saving his life.
