Walton Woman Avoids Prison Time After 2nd Welfare Fraud Conviction

A Delaware County woman has has avoided prison time, despite her second conviction for welfare fraud. Kellie Sanderson, of Walton, pleaded guilty to the charge back in January after she was accused of falsely reprting her income to obtain public assistance benefits that she was not entitled to. Sanderson has a previous conviction for welfare fraud dating back to 2014. A judge ordered her to serve five years of supervisoed probation, plus pay restitution to the state.
