Also new details in a deadly ice fishing accident in Otsego County. The mishap took place in the town of Burlington on Saturday. Two men, brothers from Richfield Springs, were ice fishing on Basswood Pond near Jacobs Road and Conservation. A man walking his dog nearby saw the men fall through the ice and immediately called for help. A forest ranger was also nearby. He used a throw bag to get one of the brothers to shore, but the other man died.
