A state of emergency remained in effect Monday due to the weekend house explosion that leveled one home and significantly damaged several others. NYSEG said it was working with state and local auithorities with code enforcement so that natural gas and electric service could be re-energized once it was deemed safe to do so.

Authorites are not allowing anyone back into homes from Winner Hill Road to the west, north to Blanchard, east to Jackson and south to Chestnut. A 9pm curfew was also ordered and law enforcement is posted at all entrances 24/7.

A mobile crisis center is posted at town hall and will be available again on Wednesday at 9am. A 24.7 hotline is at 315-732-6228. If you need to access your residence, you must enter from Dante’s Pizza on Richards Ave, be escorted by Emergency Management and have your house cleared by NYSEG.
