A public hearing was held Tuesday night on a proposed 3.4 million dollar roundabout intersection in Oneonta. The top concern from residents – was pedestrian safety. The proposal calls for the changes where State Route 7, the Lettis Highway, Main Street and Maple Street all come together. State DOT representatives say the number of car crashes has increased fourfold at the intersection – and a roundabout would increase both pedestrian and vehicle safety.
