Incumbents in contested races for Oneonta’s common council seats appear to have won re-election. 3rd Ward Democrat Shannon McHugh has defeated Republican Daniel Rorick. 5th Ward Councilmember Leonard Carson Junior appears to have defeated Libertarian Donald Garrison Junior. 7th Ward Democrat Bryce Wooden defeats Republican Sean Dwight. 8th Ward incumbent Emily Falco, an Independent, has also easily fended off a challenge by Republican challenger James Peter DeAndra. Falco has been serving in the seat since being appointed in 2021 to replace Mar Drnek, who was elected as mayor. All of those who ran unopposed – won their contests.
