Otsego County leaders are approving the use of opioid settlement money to provide up to 5-thousand dollar signing bonuses for new hires in clinical positions at the county’s addiction recovery clinic. The staffing situation at the clinic has been described as at a crisis level recently. The county has authorized the use of 25-thousand dollars total, for the hiring of five positions at 5-thousand dollar bonuses each. On Wednesday, the board also approved a renewal of a contract with an architectural firm for services at the county public safety building.
