The Oneonta Planning Commission has approved a design concept for the new Market Street transportation improvement plan. Plans call for a parking lot, a bus station, and staircase and elevator tower where the current parking garage is located. The plans got kickstarted in June when the common council voted to tear down the existing parking garage at 47 Market Street, which hasn’t been open since March due to safety concerns.
