Greater Opportunities for Broome and Chenango, Inc. has received 4.3 million to develop 17 units for homeless people and families in New Berlin. The project will preserve seven existing units and build 10 new ones. It will also involve the rehabilitation of four buildings. The funding is part of New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s overall 25 billion dollar housing plans that aims to create or preserve 100-thousand afforsable homes in the Empire State.
