Scoharie Planning Board Rejects Dental Practice Expansion Plans

The village planning board in Scoharie has rejected a plan to expand parking for the village’s largest employer. Scoharie Dental owner Hazem Elbialy was asking for some zoning changes to accomodate his dental practice. Mainly, tearing down a vacant home next to the office and turning it into a parking lot to handle as many as 220 patients per day at 235 Main Street. Board members said the plans don’t fit with the village’s comprehensive plan.
